If you want to adjust timecodes already entered in your transcript, go to Transcript > Adjust Timecodes and enter your offset value. Choose Start at Custom Time and enter your desired start time. This method will prevent timecodes from appearing randomly in between words. Go to Media > Select Media Source and look for the Timecode pulldown menu. This way, any time you hit that hotkey, InqScribe will insert two lines, then a timecode, then the words "Speaker Name," and you can type your text after that. Then, assign a trigger for that snippet, such as the return key or the period key or some other key that you often press during a logical break in your typing. (In this example, means that you simply press the return key to add a blank line.) All timecodes inserted into this transcript will use the given. Don't confuse this with the frame rate of your video file There is no connection between the two rates. Each InqScribe document has a native timecode frame rate, which is shown just above the transcript field. For instance, the snippet might look like this: We refer to these as timecode frame rates. If your goal is to make timecode insertion as easy and as regular as possible, we recommend that you create a custom snippet that inserts a timecode every time you hit a common key. A feature like this would be impossible to implement properly because InqScribe would have no way of preventing situations where the timecode gets inserted in the middle of a word that you are in the midst of typing, like this. This surprises me, given the massive improvement in voice recognition recently. It is shown that the TAS/MRC scheme outperforms some more complex space-time codes of the same spectral efficiency and channel estimation errors based on pilot symbols have no impact on the diversity order over quasi-static fading channels. Note that InqScribe does not allow you to insert timecodes at pre-specified time intervals as you type, say every 30 seconds. A separate software just for transcribing that works well is Inqscribe. This inserts timecodes, all at once, at specified intervals. InqScribe can insert a series of timecodes into your transcript at a specific time interval, as described in this article.
